In the "Twins Cameo" series, I incorporate myself as both the male and female protagonists into photographs or paintings of art historical references set in cameo-like frames. Interjecting the male counterpart into a cameo-like frame denotes female beauty, commenting on historical ideas and present-day assumptions. The images are at once insightful and amusing, holding a mirror up to contemporary society and reflecting social, historical, and ontological questions.
