"Here and Long Ago" was motivated by the hair loss I was experiencing and to encourage dissociating the loss of hair with my own self-worth and social expectations.
Hair has long been connected with beauty and femininity, so exploring its loss and the related stigmas around it challenges societal norms and sheds light on the lived experiences of women.
