After being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2011, I was compelled to ask the technician for a handful of colorful stickers that were used to mark the nipples prior to imaging. I wondered if these skin markers were purposefully bright and cheery so as to distract from this procedure and its possible consequences. The skin markers became a means to map my journey, and Days After is the illustration of this journey
